Suppose these two offers come in near the end of your shift. Those are the payouts and miles shown in the app. What would you want to know about the wait, the drop-off or the drive home before choosing one?

At the distances shown, the $18 offer pays $2.25 per mile and the $24 offer pays $1.60 per mile, before expenses. Now imagine the $24 drop ends a block from home, while the $18 drop leaves you facing an unpaid drive back. Would you switch your pick?
