What the work is like

Uber Eats couriers use the same Driver app as rideshare drivers, with delivery selected as their work type. Some markets accept bicycles or scooters as well as cars. A food delivery ends at a customer handoff or at the drop-off location specified in the order.

Catering offers and inside setup

Uber Eats couriers can receive large catering orders in participating markets. Some customers request delivery inside the building, unpacking, and a photo of the completed setup. Adding passenger rides

For Uber passenger rides, open the Driver app and choose “Earn with Rides.” Uber will show any additional documents or screening you need. Once approved for both, select the work types you want to receive.

Package delivery with Uber Courier

In participating markets, eligible drivers and delivery partners can opt in to Courier through the Driver app. Check Driving Preferences for access, then review the pickup and drop-off before accepting a package request.

Availability by state

All 50 states, plus D.C. and Puerto Rico

Uber Eats lists customer markets in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rican municipalities. Search the city directory, then check delivery signup for local openings and accepted vehicle types. A city with delivery service may still limit new courier activations.
