What the work is like
Clients post work and freelancers submit competing bids. A fixed-price job can be divided into agreed milestones, while hourly work is billed against hours. A useful bid sets out what you will deliver and gives the client a way to judge a finished milestone.
Bid on local pickup and delivery projects
Freelancer Local includes pickup, courier, and delivery projects. Search by location and bid on a client’s posted job. Work and rates depend on those postings. Agree on the pickup, deadline, delivery proof, and project price before accepting.

Set your bid
For a standard fixed-price project, Freelancer.com lists a freelancer fee of 10% or US$5, whichever is greater. On a $100 award, the standard fee is $10, leaving $90 before other charges, expenses, or taxes. The platform also has separate fee rules for hourly projects and some programs.

Remote U.S. projects and local listings
Remote projects can be searched online from the U.S. Local or on-site jobs can specify a city or region. Freelancer.com uses location filters in its project search and does not provide a U.S. state launch map for ordinary remote bidding.
